Hi gals, as some of you know I’ve been missing in action due to my Mum needing my assistance every day for her meds. By the time I get home it’s usually around lunchtime and I don’t really feel like getting going on my sewing projects. At the moment though I’m making our elder daughter ‘s 40th birthday outfit - all in rainbow coloured sequinned fabric. I’ve cut out the bodice and lining and pants and the lining. I’ve yet to cut out the sleeves in the sequinned fabric. Dana is coming around tonight after gym to try it on. I’ve left the back pants section open to put in a zipper as the back crosses over at the top. It says to put in buttonholes but with the sequinned fabric I’m not going to do that. I’m going to use large hooks and eyes as they will be easier to put in.
Dana’s 40th party with all her girlfriends is on Saturday 3rd July and as we are going to New Zealand on the 18th June I’m trying to get this done ASAP. I do hope I don’t have too many alterations with fitting tonight. I told her I’ll make a long loose belt to go round the middle. Wish me luck. Love Chris
We’re doing the long sleeved version and with the longer legs (the larger picture on the right)
