Good morning Cuties, it is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you that my beloved sister's partner Charles died early on Sunday morning.
We are so happy that Julie got back to be with him for his last 10 days in hospital. Albeit having to wear full PPE gear, Not only that but her dear cat Poushka died on Friday, so she's had a double whammy.
Of course with our borders being shut here in Australia, Mum and I cannot get over to Tumby Bay in South Australia for the funeral, which won't be till next week sometime. Julie is going to see the Funeral Director this Thursday to work out what to do. She told me it will probably be a very personal service and maybe later when Covid restraints are lifted some sort of memorial service will be held. It's such a pity, because Charles was a real icon over in their community.
I've not been on here much and am trying to deal with my Mother everyday too, please continue to pray for me. Love and blessings Chris

My heart breaks for Julie and all of the grief she is experiencing. It seems this awful virus has done nothing but make lives too difficult. Please know i will be praying for strength wisdom and comfort for you. Hopefully, it won't be long before a very special memorial service can be held. You know we miss you but our prayers will continue for you and your mum.

This is such sad news. Your poor sister is dealing with the passing of her partner and her beloved cat. She must be worried about your Mother too. Prayers for Julie and for you. So sorry, Chris. Please pass my condolences along to your sister. I'm also sad about the cat, as his silent presence could have offered her consolations when no one else is around! Praying for the entire family in a tough time. Tell your sister, as one who has been through this, to guard her sleep and her nutrition.

Charles is at peace. I am praying for the people that have to deal with his loss. It is even more difficult now, since family members and friends often can not be there to support each other. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi Angie, yes, that's what we've all said. He was in so much pain and towards the end of course medication was slowly increased. His heart was strong, but in the end he just died peacefully in his sleep. Jewls only has come chickens, 2 ponies, some fish to look after now. Love Chris

Hi Barb, I spoke to her today to get the correct address to send her some flowers, as I always send things to her PO Box. Guess what, when I rang the florist, she said she was sorry as SA had gone into lockdown she couldn't deliver them! I then SMS's Jewls and told her not to expect them this week. She was to go to see the Funeral Director on Thursday but can't go, so it will be a phone conversation, She was busy filling out all the paperwork for Charle's history etc. Covid sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!! My sympathies to you, Julie and the family. IT is so sad to lose a dear one and a fur baby at the same time. My heart goes out to your sister. Just think The cat is with Charles. IT is a tough time with the COVID restricting everything.
Still praying for strength for you with your Mum I know how it is I took care of my mom and dad later on. They are both gone and I so not regret taking such good care of them. Still miss them after all these years..

Chris my condolences to you, your sister and family. While COVID is such a problem it causes so much heartache when family things like this happen. As sad as it is that Charles has passed I'm glad Julie was able to spend his last days with him and that he is no longer suffering. The loss of her cat at this time when he/she would have been a comfort is very sad. My heart goes out to you all.

Thanks Jerrilyn, it's wonderful knowing that He is with us. Jewls wrote to me today to say that a quartz heart shaped stone she gave to Charles was found in the pocket of his dressing gown at the hospital and returned to her. She was so emotional as this is the heart shaped quartz stone that she was to place on his heart before going into his coffin. She was so comforted to know that Charles is still around her. As I've said before she doesn't believe in God, but light and eternal love all the same. Love Chris
