He does look comforable in his little basket. My childhood dog was a pekingese. My corgi, Gummybear, had a disc problem. She was on Tramdol for several years. What really made the back better was that she got monthly acupuncture treatments. It took a couple of years, but eventually her pain went away. Maybe there is a vet trained in acupuncture in your area. It is a specialty for dogs.
