Hello Cuties! Well this is day 13 from being exposed and it allowed me the time to piece this Papa’s Delight quilt top. It measures 88 x 100. I wanted to put a border on, but need more fabric for that and my backside. I won’t be quilting it in till the weather is cooler. It’s just too hot here. Can you see the circles? Maybe this is a version of a kaleidoscope, an illusion quilt. The next 3 pics are just examples of binding or a border if I had the fabrics. Hope you like it! It will probably go to one of the grands.
❤️Toogie

Oh my! This is very impressive seeing it partially done. And yes, I can see the circles. I'm so delighted to see you seem to be OK.

Yes we seem ok. I do want to ask prayers for our Emily. She is my grandsons Dalton’s spouse and mother to his 2 boys. She started getting sick the weekend. Monday tested positive.

Do you adopt - or maybe I've asked that before. It turned out so cute and I had no idea from the earlier sample that you would wind up with circles, too. That bright yellow really sets it off. Congrats.

Love this pattern - and the black and white!
Just learned today that our oldest, who is a PT in a hospital, has Covid. He got his first vaccine on Tuesday, rode to a job site with a coworker on Thursday, and found out on Saturday he was exposed. Got sick on Sunday. By having had the vaccine so soon before being exposed he's had a double-whammy. His wife is a nurse, so she's making him do the right things to, hopefully, get through this OK.

Sorry to hear about your son. A lot of people here have waited to get vaccinated and now seeing everybody getting sick. It’s horrible here. Our great nephew’s wife is a physician. She had the vaccine and now has Covid. She said although her symptoms are mild she has to quarantine. That means she can not care for patients. I have always said once our health care workers get sick or die ,we are all doomed. Will add your son to my prayers although I already am praying for all patients. What’s his first name ?
Thanks. We appreciate the prayers. His name is David.
Add my grandson Dalton, Emily and the boys to your prayers.
I surely will. None of my son's kids (4 - ages 7-16) or wife have it - - yet. I don't know how it will get past them though. I just heard a woman on staff at the college I retired from died this past weekend. Scary stuff!
Yes a woman I know died yesterday and this morning a young guy in 40’s died that grew up with my great niece. So many..

Toogie, this blows me AWAY! It is just beautiful and the design is so interesting. How do you put the blocks together. How do you make the curved line? You are AMAZING!

Hi Toogie, this is gorgeous and I love picture 3 with the wider yellow border. The circles within the design really make it look like a kaleidoscope, well done. Love Chris

Toogie I was with the 'granny's group as my grandson called us today and one of my friends was sewing a quilt in similar colours to this beauty... so I showed her this on my phone and she was most impressed. I also showed her other work that you have completed.
This is stunning and I love the colours. Does the quilt have a home to go to or please can I put a bid in for it?

It makes me feel good to know another quilter likes my work. Thank you for showing her. I would love to see some of her ideas or what she is currently working on. I am sure you were joking, but it wasn't made for a certain person, just will go to one of the grands I imagine.

I thought it went slow-lol-I sure couldn't piece with my usual speed, because of the curves. Happy to know you like it, thanks.

Emily is on my prayer list. Hugs to you. Glad to hear you are well.

Thank you Angie and now you can add Dalton and the boys. Dalton felt bad so went in this morning to be tested-positive-the boys are 2 years and 6 months old. So far their symptoms are mild, but we all know things can change quickly. We just heard of another death (age 40's-un vaccinated) my traveling niece knew. So terribly sad all around us.
Picture four is my favorite, too!
