AAAARGH!!! I have misplaced my good fabric scissors. Remember last using them at my washing machine when trimming threads after laundering new fabrics. Cannot blame anyone but myself...

Lots of sympathy from someone who has about 20 pair of scissors because can never find a pair! Good luck finding them. You may want to look in with a previous project leftovers, or on the floor behind something. Look under your stacks. Lots of times I find mine in between the cracks of the couch. Pocket are a good place to look for keys, not so sure about scissors! When I lose something, I always stop and pray. It is amazing how often after that I find them right away.

Praying works for me too.

Don't feel guilty about 29 pairs of scissors. In my husband's estate, I found 176 screwdrivers, everything from teeny tiny for working on computer innards to about a 14" one that his dad used working on cars. I piled them all on the kitchen table, and then selected the ones I thought I would use, gave the rest to my sons and to an inner city church school that did building projects to raise funds.

Not near the couch and definitely not in a pocket but possibly near another fabric stash.

Your problem reminds me of Dennis, a former Guy Cutie who asked about scissors. He passed away and It's nice to remember him.

whenever the subject of scissors comes about I think of Dennis and his wonderful sense of humor

Did you leave them with the new fabric when you folded it? Where did you go when you left the washer? If you got something to drink maybe they’re in the kitchen. I leave items on the bathroom window sill when I have something in my hand. -lol

That was my thought as well. Neatly folded away with scissors between the fabric.

My sewing/computer room along with the laundry is downstairs but I folded the fabric upstairs and shared my newest stash with hubby. Scissors were not with the folded fabric.

If you set them down on the machine and then ran it, they may have vibrated off the top and be beside, behind, or beneath the machine.

My sewing table is an old, sturdy Hon desk--no vibrating or shaking. The desk is not against a wall where things (that do not roll) can fall and get lost. My washer/dryer area has been thoroughly investigated (and the dryer has a "lip" that prevents item from vibrating off.
