Playmat for Darwin. My dear friend who I had many fun times with as a teenager recently became a grandmother to Darwin. I have had a huge amount of fun making this with a selection of animals and animal fabrics. Nothing new has been bought for the making of this. I began the mat towards the end of lockdown in the UK so have used fabric from my horde. The horde doesn’t appear to be diminishing. Thanks for looking

You call this a playmat. I am wondering if this is like we used to call a quilt pallet. It was something we would put on the floor for baby to nap or play on so they wouldn’t be on the cold floor. I’m sure your friend appreciates this gift of creativity from you. Glad you had fun in the making. That’s why we do what we do! Great piecing!
