I found a large beach towel in the road in front of my house. After washing, it was in great shape except for 2 holes. I patched it with 2 applique sea shells.

You gave this throw away towel a second life. How did you deal with the back side? Love the idea of seashells covering up the wholes.

The back side is also an applique. The bobbin thread matched the top thread, so it looks almost as good as the front.
