Hi Cuties, I’ve been busy!!! After many weeks of sewing I’ve got 81 squares/designs done. They are all Sweetpea designs from here in Australia.
Now comes the fun part of putting in sashing and then off to my professional quilter. I made another queen size quilt a couple of years ago ( in my Projects) but it wasn’t long or wide enough as I like quilts to hang down past the top mattress - my fault in not making it bigger, so this one will be great!! I used my little magnifier glass, and these are fantastic stitchouts. You've been very persistent in getting these squares done and are getting such a beautiful result.

Hi Tonya, yes, I love the corner blocks too, they are so effective. As I said in the post these are all from Sweetpea and there are a number of different designs incorporated into this quilt. I can't wait to finish it and post it on their website. Love Chris

WOW!!! Amazing work! This inspires me to make a Christmas this way. Would you like to share how your stabilized each square? Seems like a a little bit of batting?

Hi Penny, yes, these are all stabilised with either iron on stabiliser and a medium to heavy weight tear away. Some of the designs have over 37,000 stitches in them and so they have a woollen batting in them too. When I get it quilted I will only have a backing fabric on them as otherwise it will be too hot for me and I don't like heat!! Most of the squares are applique with some just plain stitching. Hi Brenda, yes, when it's completely finished I'll post a picture of it. The backing fabric will be just plain navy and I'll just have a quilt label on the lower corner. Love Chris

Yes, not seeing pictures inside posts is a fairly new issue...I know a few others have had this issue from time to time in the last couple of months too...frustrating...
