Thank you to Sarah for the posting and everyone who recently wished me a happy birthday. Last year we were in lockdown and celebrations were not possible with friends and family. This year I made up and started with a birthday meal cooked by our older daughter the night before the ‘official’ day as she was on a 12 hour shift that day. Our younger daughter suggested we met on the evening of my birthday at a town half way between us which is about an hours drive for each of us. Lovely walk round the harbour in the dark and fish and chips in their camper van. Followed by another birthday cake. Thursday I met friends and had coffee. Friday I forget what happened. Saturday was both daughters and their families plus brother and sister in law. Sunday another meal of family at older daughters. Monday was another meal of a shared lunch with the craft group I am in where 3 of us celebrated our Feb birthdays. Celebrating is now ended and I’m in recovery after all the excitement. Thank you Cuties for your comments last week, it is really lovely to have such sweet comments from my sewing buddies. The picture was taken on my birthday

I am so glad to hear that you were able to be surrounded by family. You sure knew how to stretch the celebration into days. Good for you. Thanks for the picture. Love it.

How delightful to have so much celebrating. A nice looking group in the picture, including the cute doggie. Glad you had some joy in your celebrating. I've always said when we reach retirement age we should get to celebrate every 1/2 year and told my sweet neighbor Jackie who is 93 that she should get to celebrate monthly! Actually she does celebrate quite a bit, as I discovered when I helped reset her kitchen after her recent fire and repairs. She keeps quite the stock of alcohol for each of her friends that come to visit. Doesn't like margaritas but keeps the glasses and (salt?) etc. for making them for her friend. Always offers me wine and I'm a teetotaller. I prefer sweet tea, house wine of the South!

Your neighbour Jackie sounds great and maybe when older will follow her celebrations for myself. I am on the tea or coffee as alcohol and I no longer agree with each other.

How wonderful Caroline. I love extended Birthday celebrations, I think we need more days to celebrate our arrival into this world, not just one!!!

Lovely to see you all, it must still be chilly there as you all look rugged up! We of course are nearing the end of summer, but it's still stinking hot. I can't wait for Autumn and the cooler weather. Love to you all Chris

Thanks for the advice on starting planning ahead. Will plan husbands birthday and our Wedding Anniversary first I think. That then gives lots of time for the forward planning
