Hello my Cutie friends, I'm just so devastated! As all of my 'older' friends on here know, I am a cricket tragic.
I sit out here in my sewing room during summer with the air conditioner on and watching Australia's cricket team playing whoever it is for the year and to wake up this morning after hearing about Rod Marsh dying yesterday (from a heart attack), to hear that this morning our most famous cricketer Shane Warne has also died at the age of 52 of a heart attack, I can't believe it.
We have lost an absolute legend and I know our Australian team are over in Pakistan at the moment, also just in disbelief.
Rest in peace Shane, you will go down in history as the legend you were. Love Chris

Chris, I'm so sorry! It sounds like Shane and Rod have given you many hours of pleasure over the years watching them playing the game they, and, you loved. It seems like so many people are having heart attacks lately. And it still hurts no matter what the cause.

Hi Karen, I just can't fathom that he has gone. I've been watching cricket since I was 18 and the era of Dennis Lillee, Rod Marsh and the likes and then Shane Warne, Adam Gilchrist, the Chappell and Waugh brothers has brought back so many great memories.
We lived in Melbourne for 9 years and the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) is like Lords in England, very famous ground, known as the Home of Cricket.
In this day and age I can't understand why so many people are dying from heart attacks, hopefully a solution will be found. Love Chris

Chris this sad news is across the UK media and will be world wide too, someone who has died far too soon. I remember you and Dennis with your cricket banter. Dennis is also missed by many of us here still. Take care

Hi Caroline, as you know Shane was linked with Elizabeth Hurley for a while. He was our larrikin lad, always ready to lend a hand to aspiring youth and anyone interested in Cricket. He already has a statue at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) and they are talking of naming a stand after him.

I am not s sport fan, so this was not a familiar name to me. It is a tragedy when someone as young as Shane has died. When people that we admire perish it leaves a hole in the heart.

Hi Angie, yes, it's such a tragedy, he was such a great sportsman. He is going to given a State Funeral and one of the stands at the hallowed MCG (Melboure Cricket Ground) is going to be named after him. He is already immortalised in a statue outside of the MCG. Love Chris

It is such a shame when anyone passes that is so young...especially when they are ones that you have followed so closely in their career... A sad loss for those who follow the Aussie "Crickeeters" worldwide...
