Thank you Kim Was a very easy sewing of the rope---100% cotton and used 100 ft---had plenty left over. Maybe another small bowl. Plain zigzag stitch.

Thank you. I entered the pic in both sections since the rope was all zig zag sewing and flowers, leaves and bee are machine embroidery. I saw a post the other day where someone put in both sections--she said someone told her to do both. Sorry---only one posts for now on.

You said it! My brain works when I work and tells me what to do as I do it. Guess that is why I usually take so long to do anything.....I am always thinking. I've always been able to do most sewing, needlework, crafting things--thanks to my creative mama. I started out mostly clothing though so when I see a pattern my mind thinks how to change it up.

Yes, I think this is one thing I'll leave out. My walls in my sewing room are only 5 ft. and then high pitch roof so shelves for projects made are not possible. Thank you

Bee is an old design and not sure where it came from but do know the flower is one of many from Bejoscha. Her FSL things stitch out wonderful and no time it seemed to do. The basket is habit forming--you can make so many different sizes and coasters too. Thank you

LOL on the toilet paper but good idea. Some gals that couldn't manage raising the sides for their bowls I told them was a trivet. All cotton rope but of course, I have no idea if a coating is put on them during manufacture. ZigZag stitching together makes it so easy and a size 90 needle.

I started forming the lid, of course, at the loop top end and as I started going around and around with the zigzag I started my tension on the rope a little ways down, then decided I needed to slack again to make it larger. It is kind of like pottery where you mold clay to shapes you mold your rope so that when I got near where my bottom bowl it I knew my rope ending had to fit just slightly over it. Then on ending it my brain clicked in again and said 'why don't I end this rope like a vine going towards the top. Well, I needed to colorize it and then I started thinking of Bejosha's FSL flowers and made some of those. I found leaves I had also made at some point and the bee in a box I had saved and low and behold they came into use. I was very happy with the way it turned out. Never know what we can do until we try. Thank you.

Ha, I miss so much sometimes and just can't be helped I am afraid. Sometimes at least I can go binge look but not to reply which to me seems rude but just can't get the time in to get to everyone. So, I'm glad you saw it too, It was fun to do.

I had to find this again so Tu2ml could view it as she has some nice coasters she made and embroidered and asked to see this.

My mind works in mysterious ways sometimes. When I started this in class it was not what I intended it to be but I'm glad it did turn out to the beehive and I am glad I had that embroidered bee in advance. Bejosha's flowers stitched out great--first the petals and then the centers are glued on. Oh, I also had those leave embroidered and put away in a box--can't remember where I got those from.
