“Public domain” is a labyrinth of legal disputes that offer spending countless days and dollars battling figurative dark corridors with dangerous landmines coupled with poisonous shrubs, and thorns aplenty. People should stand up for their rights! If you think you should be able to use any artwork you find, take that gumption and your pocket money to an Intellectual Property lawyer and let your voice be heard! I applaud people with money and time to spare to run that legal labyrinth gambit known as copyright/licensing/trademark laws. I don’t have the time, the energy, or the money to join you. So, even if I agree with you, I won’t be joining you in the maze. That said, people shouldn’t insist other people join in the legal battles that last for years. Please don’t expect you can do whatever you feel entitled or inspired to do and ask Miss Veronika to join you. This is her place. Her friends are here. Her joy is here. This website is her private property. Your invitation here has limits. As a moderator for her website, I will do all I can to protect her property. There aren’t exceptions. Just because you need to make money, doesn’t mean Cute needs to facilitate that. If you know the artwork might not be in the Public Domain—ASK US FIRST! We will continue to ban links to or mention of websites that use questionable artwork like known characters or book drawings for movie… to make their website a success. We will also be deleting any projects that use artwork that may or may not be in the “Public Domain.”
