I think you did a great job. What is it that you don't like about the bag?

I guess cause i never use one and think others don't either .Therefore a waste of time and money lol
You can use them for a few cosmetics, People that travel like them to pack small objects in like travel size stuff or if big enough hair brushes and such. They are good to drop down in a tote with your wallet inside.( I usually put a strap inside my tote with a O ring. I then but a tab with a hook 🪝 clasp, on my zip bag, to clip to strap in tote. That way the zip bag with wallet is secured inside the open tote. I also like to hook my keys on this ring so I just pull the strap and find my keys easier than digging in bottom of tote.
People may use them more than you think. Most of the ladies that got some of mine told me they hoped they win another.😀

one of the things I like about not in the hoop is boxing my bottom conners so the bag will sit up. You do this by matching your bottom seam to side seam, so it makes a point. Then measure up from point on each corner equally, draw a line and stitch across. You can either leave and tack down the point or trim and edge finish . I usually trim. I’m sure there are help videos to show you if you don’t already know.
The other thing I like by doing out of hoop, regular sewing, I can make them any size. I have just a 5x7 hoop so I can only make this ITH size and they are small and flat.
I like your bag, but maybe you might like it better, if you can try one with the box bottoms. Another thing to consider if you make it sit up, try the darker color on the bottom and lighter on top where it zips. The darker bottom may not show stains as much if you sit on something. Just a thought.

Thanks i have made box plates i kinda like that idea thanks :):) xx
I googled’ how to box corners on a bag’ and the first video was 4 minutes. I didn’t listen to all of it but I listened to when she marked her stitch line. I would NOT box it a half inch from point. I would use her other measurement. However you do have to consider that when you box your corners your bag will be shorter, from top to bottom , because the bag now sits up. Good luck, I know you can do it!
We must have been typing at the same time-lol
What do you put in these to make them stiff?I used Quilt batt and a box corner won't stand up i am afraid .What do i use?
i have used batting but it helps when you quilt it fairly close, but i also have used an iron on pellon stabilizer i think it might be pellon 809 and it is wide maybe 42 inch , also pellon 926 sew in stabilizer i baste in the seam allowances of my pieces, headliner foam like you use in car roofs , really and it comes 60 in wide. anything that will give it body. ...sorry for no capital letters but just easier for me to type like this right now using one hand...
ok well thank-you next time to town i will buy some

Ah, I see not ITH but sewing. Very nice bag and color. You know they hold all kinds of goodies from the sewing room except your 500 zippers, lol! Love it Carolyn.
