Hello Cuties! I embroidered these for a throw pillow for my grandson. I originally thought I would make just one pillow, with one bring the front and the other the back. Now I am wondering, do I make patchwork for the flip sides and make 2 pillows instead? That would mean I’d need another pillow form. I still want to quilt them before I actually turn them into pillow covers.

When I took a picture of them together, I thought oh, make a bunch of these and turn them into a quilt!-lol
The sunflower was a one color design free at one time from Janome, used on a placemat or napkin. The font I used is call Pumpkin Spice.

They are beautiful. I like the idea of a set, but that would mean a lot of extra work. Let alone turning them into a quilt!
I love the colours!

Thanks mops. I thought of two, because he told me when I made his quilt, he wanted black and white. I thought two would look good on a bed or sofa. (didn't say he wanted the black/white/yellow quilt I made but maybe these will win him over)

Toogie it’s lovely to see you back working with fabric. Super work and I expect by now you have done a load more. You can’t keep a good woman down

I am trying to get my arm moving, so reaching to thread or anything, gives it exercise. No, no more work until I finish these.

Fabulous! I like the idea of 2 pillows. You are the Quilting Queen; I can see you making a quilt with these designs. Happy health to you, Suzanna

Thank you Suzanna, but I just thought a quilt would be pretty. However, not at this time. Just one or two is enough.Glad you like them.

I think either way, but I do tend towards 1 pillow. And it does look like a lovely quilt block, but are you up to doing that?

I think the more I move is better for me, but my stamina, is not back in full swing. The little I did yesterday seemed to just tire me out. I guess I've been taking it easy too long. I need to quilt these today, whether I put them together or not.

What a great combination of black and brown! I vote for two pillows!

Yes, I want to do two. By the brown do you mean the center of the sunflower, because that is my only brown? Mason likes black and white so, even if the words embarrass him, he can turn to the flip side.

Toogie, I vote 2 pillows. Just do plain either zipper back or fabric that matches your patchwork on back----too lovely to hide one side and have to flip to see the other.

Just bought a twin pack of pillow inserts today. I plan on a zipper on my cover but I am thinking I may put it on the bottom edge. Now to piece and quilt the backs.

Hi Toogie, I'd definitely make 2 pillow cases as they look lovely as a pair on a bed. I love these beautiful fabrics. I made mine with a flap over in the centre on the back side. I used the fabric that was the backing for my quilt. Love Chris

I have decided to make two out of them but couldn’t sew yesterday. Hoping to get to it today.

Glad to see you decided on 2 , just take your time as you feel able to do it. He will love them and show them off with pride from his Gram. Then his friends will be after their Grandmothers to make some for them. ;-)

I have the backs almost all quilted, then can put the zipper in and sew them up.
Yesterday we went to my moms empty house to clean up yard so no sewing for me. Maybe today.
