I thought I would give you a quick catchup. We had a lovely time in Rhode Island catching up with family and friends. Suzanne (sdrise) looks great and we had such a wonderful reunion. Always too short though. My handsome surprised me with an anniversary party on our last day in RI. This was the first time in 35 years I was totally clueless. Suzanne and Dave were able to keep the secret Now that is true friendship. We are now in Maryland to help good friends celebrate their retirement from the Army tomorrow. Then we will be on our way home. I am looking forward to pulling in our driveway. I admit, this trip has been harder than I thought it would be. But I am a survivor and enjoy the rest of the trip.

No acting, just true surprise. It was wonderful to see so many of our friends able to see and talk with others. So many have been too isolated for too long.

Thanks. I agree, it has been wonderful to spend time with people we love whom we haven't been able to see in 3 years. They are true blessings for us. I keep praying we will make it safely to the next stop and so far, God has been very gracious. His hand of protection keeps us going.
