Hi gals, I heard from Mum last night and she is having a lovely time over in Tumby Bay. She tried telling me all the things that had happened so far and Jewls “helped” her to remember. I’m so glad she is with someone all day. It takes a huge load of my mind.
In the meantime my kitchen smells like a florist shop. I’ve picked, since the 14th July 11.5 dozen Erlicheer Jonquils. I’ve still got loads to pick, so I’ll beat last year’s quota of 12 dozen.
Spring is coming even though we’ve still got a month and a week to go. Sending you lots of love. Love Chris

This must be a relief for you knowing that your Mom likes being with your sister. I am envious about all the beautiful flowers on your window sill. Here with all the heat and water restriction my garden is struggling and in stress. Enjoy the beauty and wonderful aroma.

This is not only good for you to get a break, from the daily responsibility of caring for your mum, it gives Jewels a chance to experience what you’ve been dealing with. By living daily with her dementia, it may help to relieve any doubts either of you may have about placing mum in a facility. Best wishes to all three of you.
