Our family had our annual Thanksgiving stay in Frankenmuth, Michigan. We were there together for 4 days. It was a wonderful time! Each year we do a craft for our table center piece. This year I taught them how to make a gnome. As usual I had all the necessary craft items ready for them. And, yes, each of the men participate too - they have every year. Everyone did a great job and each gnome looked different from the others! Thanks for looking! Hugs and flowers for all! Laura

Thank you, Caroline. I preplan as much as I can. Now that our children are grown, each takes on a meal for the group so we don't spend a lot of money going out to eat. Thanks goodness they each get along with each other and their spouses (one a fiancee). Hugs to you!!

It really was a lot of fun. Each year, the guys especially surprise me how "crafty" they are. The problem now, is I have to come up with a craft project for next year that will meet or beat this one! Wish me luck, I'll need it! Hugs!!

Laura, These are so cute, as usual. For the newer Cuties, would you consider looking up your previous centerpiece posts and offering links to them, so they can see what a fun family you have?

These are so cute. What a great way to get everyone involved. Do they each get to take their creation home?

They are going to take them home at Christmas. Before that we will be all together for our son's wedding, a week before Christmas. What a group we all are! Thank you and hugs!!

Thank you! Everyone had to use a pattern to cut out the hats and then sew them. I showed them a couple of different stitches - all in all, each one looks great, each very different!! Thanks again!!

Thank you bunches, Karen!! I didn't post all of our centerpieces - didn't want to bore everyone... lol. At least I have a year to think about the next project! Hope you are feeling better! Hugs!!

I used more than one gnome idea for this project. But the hat pattern I found at:

https://shop.rufflesandrainboots.com/product/felt-gnome-pattern-set/

We used a cone and holiday socks for the body (cutting the sock straight across just below the heel). I purchased noses and beard material off the internet. We used glue for the beard and nose.
Hope that helps!! Hugs!

Wow! Sounds like a great time, and you did so well preparing for it. I have a friend who made several for sale, Christie got one for me while she was here a couple years ago. These will be a mainstay in the creative community.. . Yours look fabulous.
