Hi Cuties! I finally made Declan’s Christmas stocking! He used his daddy’s old one last year but this year he will have his own. I used a Cute Embroidery design Santa and you can find it in the link below. I never have a good face color thread so I usually avoid stitching a design with a face. However I loved this design! He looks like the vintage Santa that he is!-lol

I looked in all my saved files and didn’t have the snowman gerryvb posted in Community. I would have liked to have used a Snowman design, with the snowman fabric I used to make the stocking. Oh well, I am happy with this Santa, as I have been wanting to stitch him. Hope you like him too and if you don’t have him, what are you waiting for? Go get him!

The stocking is precious. You could run a business - quilts and grandbaby stockings.

I have no doubt that Declan is going to love his new stocking. Especially the goodies it will soon hold. Well done. I love seeing a Cute design used too.

What a great stocking! I like how you did the toe/heel as it really is a nice finishing touch. can't figure what kind of fabric it is stitched on. Just cotton? It sort of looks like burlap to me but it may just be the color.

Fabric is Osnaburg cotton and looks kinda seedy. I’ll add a photo above. Thanks, I’ve been making these for years. I use a cutaway stabilizer on the whole front onsaburg piece to give body, but not on the back.

Another handsome stockin (started to say lovely but thought he might prefer the other ;-)
Thank you for the information on design and fabric as well as stitching tip, need to go to JoAnns anyway.
