Hi Cuties, haven’t done much today, just relaxing on our own.
We are off on a Hot air Balloon ride in the morning and we have to get up at 3.00am!!!! We are half an hour away from the meeting point at Peterson House - so we will leave at 3.30 and they’ve asked us not to be late. Apparently they inflate balloon around 4.00am. This morning there was a heavy fog, so I hope not so much tomorrow.
We went out for breakfast early and I came home to do some sewing, ironing, washing etc. it’s very hot here again and it’s best just to relax. I managed to finish off my new navy blue runner- it’s a Sweetpea Christmas table runner, but for this one I chose blues. I did an earlier one in the traditional colours late last year.
On Thursday Jewls (my sister) is turning 68 and we’ve invited her and Mum to come up here to Montvalley. I’ve sent instructions but she has a SATNAV and will follow that in her car.
Mum will finally get her neck-brace off next Monday - she can’t wait. She commented to Jewls that she wished she could go back with her for her to look after mum - all the time!!!! Jewl’s can’t do that as Mum needs full time care for everything- feeding, showering/toileting, dressing etc. we both feel so helpless!
Hope everyone is going OK. Love Chris
Can’t wait for Jewls to come up here tomorrow for her birthday and to bring Mum too. We bought Prawns and I’ve still got some Plum Pudding left from Christmas for dessert. Thanks for your kind words re looking after Mum. Jewl’s has had fun clearing out Mum’s home. We’ve got another Open House this Saturday. We come home Monday night after catching up with John and Deirdre (who owns this home) in the afternoon and dinner. Love Chris
I hope you enjoyed your hot air balloon ride. I admire people that can do this and not be afraid of heights . I can understand your Mom being happy to have that neck brace removed. That must have been uncomfortable.
We had a wonderful flight it was so calm and quiet!
Mum is really happy to be getting that thing off!!! Love Chris
