Today - Wednesday 1 March is St David’s day in Wales. The daffodil or a leek will be worn by many today and here are my daffodils growing in the planters at the front of our house

Love your trough of flowers. Happy St. David's Day. Is there a particular Welsh food you eat on this day?

Many will have cawl which is like soup with beef or lamb, leeks, potatoes, carrots, swede and carrots served with bread and lumps of cheese. Welsh cakes are also served.

In theory spring is on its way and so is snow according to the weather in the next few days
When we arrived in UK last year on holiday (it was early March) we had snow when we arrived at Heathrow. quite a surprise.

Oh these are lovely!!! It is winter in the US right now - but we are lucky to be in Florida for a few months - so it looks like spring here!! Hugs to you!!

These are so beautiful Caroline. I love Daffodils and Jonquils. I have more Jonquils than Daffodils though, so will have to increase my bulbs this year. It's Autumn here now, but a heatwave for the next week or so, Summer is hanging on. Love Chris
