I turned a plain dish mat into a cute one, a quick 15-minute project. It was a winner to one of the girls in my bingo club. We meet once a month, high school girlfriends, so much fun. Everyone brings 3 items (from Dollar Tree or a white elephant). When you hit a bingo, you get to choose from any of the items, but another bingo winner may take it from you. My mat was the first to be chosen, everyone really liked it, they want me to make another for next month. Hugs and flowers to all, Suzanna

Love the fabric that you have used. I am presuming that the Dollar Tree is like a UK pound shop? ie cheap

Thank you! I purchased the fabric about 5 years ago from a fabric store, bought all they had. All items at the Dollar Tree are $1.25 USD.

Thank you! I did cut one mat in half and made 2 smaller mats for me. Love the retro fabrics.

Great retro fabric. This is a terrific idea for dressing up a plain dish mat. I think I’ll have to try this! Well done.

I love it....where did you find that fabric for the top. That would be a hit at our quilting group when I can get back into attending the sessions.

I wondered too until I read her answer below. She says she bought the fabric 5 years ago. I really would have liked to have some too. Very pretty fabric, great idea.
Fabric is Michael Miller Pattern #C-939 Home EC Not sure if it is still available, maybe etsy
