Duck, duck, goose..baby quilt for my son's mgr's first grandchild—an 8lb boy. I also made the mothers first quilt when SHEwas born…over 30 yrs ago!

Thank you for comment. Son was here today, left for home an hour+ away, and he forgot to take the quilt. However, I called him to return before too far away but he said he will be passing by next wkend and will get it then.

I recently saw a Duck Duck Goose quilt . I wish the ducks were machine embroider designs bc I don’t want to do needle turn. I love it! It’s awesome!!

Awww, this appliqué is fused to background, and then machine stitched with matching threads. I used the stitch selection that sews several straight stitches and then jumps over taking a bite in the appliqué. I think it’s called "appliqué" or "blanket" stitch. It’s adjustable to take as large a bite as you desire. I’m sure you have it on your machine. It is still tedious following the pattern, but faster than needle turn.
I agree but digitized applique designs are even faster-lol I just love this quilt and pattern. I need to make 2 boy quilts for 2 girls babies my daughter will be invited to showers. It would be nice to make one like this.....
