Hello Cuties, I made this quilt top from my Army scraps left from making Settee Throw I posted here in March. This was inspired by a picture I saw online but I didn’t see any info, so I don’t know what it’s called. Not sure I like it. I hope I like it better once it’s quilted. My sister came today and I told her it should be awarded to a younger veteran because it reminds me of Tech games or Legos-lol I think it supposed to look like the rows are stacked on top of each row next to it and center row (Tanks, helicopters,Jeep’s) looks stacked on the two rows on each side. I guess it supposed to be an illusion quilt of sorts. Anyway, another top is pieced. If anyone knows the name of pattern, I’d like to know please and thank you. The picture I saw was bright colors.
Have a nice night/day wherever you may be ❤️Toogie
You must be a newbie so welcome to Cute!
You're amazing with the number of quilts you make!

As far as making the quilts, I just cut and piece the Quilts of Valor tops, or flimsy as some people call them. Someone else, another member, quilts them before giving them back to me to finish with binding and label. I only quilt my own personal or CASA, donation quilts. I usually try to take a picture when I complete the piecing because I may not remember by the time everything else is finished. However, I may update or show this one again after quilting bc Lynn got a new Star design we are both anxious for her to try.
Would love to see it when it's quilted. I am making scrap lap quilts for our local nursing home at the moment, we are moving at the end of the year, and I can't take all those scraps with me!! Mary C
