Hi Cuties! Another QOV pieced and really ‘hot off the press’.-lol I just finished about 2 hours ago so I could take to the quilter tomorrow, at our meeting. It’s off a picture I saw online. I really liked the 2in brown strips fabric. My sister said it looks just like the eagles feathers. When I say I had just enough, believe me. I might have a 2x3 piece left. Thank goodness one of the presentations was rescheduled for a later date. We needed 16 quilts done by the first week in June but now we can catch our breath-lol-size is 61 x 81 inches ❤️ Toogie

Thanks Betsey, boy our leader Sharon sure liked it today and asked if I jotted any measurements down. Others liked it as well. Thanks!

Toogie you are one inspirational woman. I am constantly amazed at the amount of work you complete. Makes my work look pathetic

I have good support personnel, my husband-lol He will help hold my long rulers from slipping, when I’m cutting. He also sometimes will cook, so I can keep sewing . I think back to 2019, how he didn’t really want me to join this group and now he is so supportive of my work, with Quilts of Valor. Please stop comparing us, because you do so much good yourself. Your work is in no way pathetic, we aren’t in a race and you are so encouraging to me. Thank you

Absolutely stunning! Each one you make is even more impressive than the next. I should have contacted you about my brother, Hank, before he passed away at the end of January - if there was a group who did this in North Carolina. He was retired from the Navy. He had tours in the Gulf of Tonken during the Viet Nam war and even was a recruiter in NYC. I guess I didn't think we would lose him so soon! I love your talent!! Hugs, Laura

Oh Laura I wish your brother would have received a quilt. I sure would have tried to find a group by you to present him one. It’s a very nice ceremony when the vet is awarded his quilt. I’m sorry for your loss and do appreciate his service to all of us and our country. I’m glad you like my work so I thank you too for that.❤️

I feel like I could never repay a veteran so I enjoy making for them. I also enjoy piecing quilts so it’s a win-win. Thanks
