This fabric for pinwheels was gifted to me, all but the blue backing and the white background. Lady said it was an older line but I don’t mind and don’t think the kids will care either. It’s by Moda called Bartholo-meow’s Reef. I wanted to try to get this one made after I made the twins quilts I just posted, but I had a migraine for a few days and shut everything down. I didn’t buy the pattern in this link, but watched the video below to make it. I could not for the life of me, figure out how to continuously stitch the pinwheel without back tracking, in a few spots. I got it done by outline stitching around and through the center then stippling my white background and blue border. I wasn’t too pleased stitching it but it sure photographed well. I don’t think I took a picture I didn’t like-lol- ok I won’t show the back because I have so many already but it’s blue like the border. I hate when I resize and they load sideways. If you care to take the time to click on them I think the photo will be upright.

Have a nice day. It’s a little cooler today at 90 degrees-lol ❤️Toogie

Oh another super toogie quilt. This looks lovely and looks simple to make … but that’s a daft comment from someone who doesn’t make quilts. I also love the way you have quilted it giving a 3D effect

It is a simple quilt to piece. I told my husband it wouldn’t have taken me nearly as long to quilt, if I would have just stippled the whole quilt. It was slow going around and across the pinwheels and I didn’t always stay so straight without a ruler. However if you just look at the quilt you don’t notice the quilting so much. I like how the pinwheels fluff up, too.
I tried to get all 3 baby quilts done last week but I only managed to get 10 of these pinwheels made by Friday. So I figured I would do it this week. However I woke up Tuesday with a migraine that lasted until today. Thank God this morning it was gone. I was almost afraid to open my eyes but the pain was finally gone.
Thanks for always looking and commenting on my work.❤️

This is one of the quilts I absolutely love! My fingers can almost feel the puffiness. Your talent continues to amaze me! I am glad your migraine is gone. I have only had 2 and don't want another one. Continue to feel better! Hugs, Suzanna

Thanks Suzanna, thank goodness they have been far between.
The quilt should puff more when I wash it before giving. A friend told me, after I washed Eva’s quilt, that she just loves the ‘crinkly’ look and feel—lol

Love it! I also find it amazing how the pin wheels in this quit seem to pop up and steal the show. And my gosh, you made it by watching a video! I hope that awful migraine will stay away for the rest of your life.

Thank you, I hope so too. You would laugh when I tell you, I got hubs to watch the video to help me guess the ‘size’ she was cutting the corners and side triangles.-lol

I am sure you could do it. It's just straight stitching, most of the time. Thank you

The colors are gorgeous and really pop out on the white background. Great job. Would make a nice picnic blanket also.

I thought the same thing, to put baby down but not in the grass. Thanks, I believe white helps it pop if it's colorful, not pastels.

Oh my, I love that puffy pattern and don't know how you accomplished that. Lovely quilting stippling and love the colors.

Thank you Patti, I think when you stipple it kinda flattens the fabric some or gives it a different texture, then outlining the pinwheels lets them fluff up.

Thank you, I am hoping to bring it to my cousin on the 13th. It’s for her great grandson. I have previously made 2 other kids quilts out of this fabric and I still have some.
