Hello Cuties! These are fabrics my daughter picked up at Walmart. She cut and sewed the squares into rows, then brought the rows to me to cut the set in triangles. I cut and pinned them on each end of the rows so she wouldn’t get mixed up, also labeling the number of rows in order. She had also brought me, at the same time, her backing fabric and batting. After she came over a few times and each time I reminded her that her triangles were pinned on and ready for her to finish, she would always say,’I’ll get them later’. Well hubby and I concluded she wasn’t going to get them until mom finished it for her.-lol So….it’s 65.5x95.5 she cut her squares 6.5 inches and I added the 5 inch border after sewing the set in triangles. She bought 6.5 yards of 45 in fabric and I had just enough for the borders, backing and binding. Of course, the backing has two seams where I pieced. She doesn’t know it’s finished so next time she comes, I am going to tell her I am going to get her stuff so she can finish her quilt. Won’t she be surprised (or not) to see it’s done!
Great work, toogie, it looks lovely. I bet she'll be so happy you finished it!
You have once again done a lovely job. At first, I did not understand what you meant by at the end. Oh, I am so much better with pictures, now I understand.
It was the comment about the triangles at the end, as I mentioned I am so much better with pictures. Thanks anyway, I understood once I looked a second time at your lovely quilt. Must be a senior moment LOL.
Hugs, Lidia
