Hi everyone, I'm back home. I've been looking after Amy and Steve's home, dog, cat and fish sitting for 3 weeks.
Mum had 2 seizures about 4 weeks ago and we (Jewls and I) were both worried so she came up and stayed with me, whilst Trev batched.
Jewls went home to South Australia yesterday, so I washed her bedding and cleaned up the room, bathroom etc. This morning I washed my sheets, towels etc and dried them and remade both beds. I even washed Ophelie's bedding, so they've got nice clean sheets to go to sleep on.
Mum has had a miraculous outcome and is talking non-stop now! She's still got that wicked sense of humour somewhere inside her mind.
Yesterday we went to the nursing home and they were making Muffins, so Jewls, Mum and I sat in the background and watched. One of the ladies there who is always a bit offensive with her comments, annoys Mum. Jewls said to her just smile at her but on the inside just imagine giving her the 'bird' with your middle finger, well Mum lost it and was laughing so much. I got photos of her with Jewls. I just had to share that with you all.
I'm well and now back home feel much better as I always had to watch the cat. She's not allowed out of the house and of course as soon as you open the back sliding door she'd appear in a flash!! Maisie, the dog is a delight and loves her walks and sleeps on the bed at night.
It's now September school holidays for the next 2 weeks and I'm sure we will be called upon to help out.
I've got all my stuff still sitting in my room yet to be unpacked, I hate doing that, but it has to be done.
I've been sewing things whilst at Amy's for the church Fete on October 21st now as on the original date we in Australia have a referendum to vote on The Voice to Parliament 14th October. I might get some more sewing done this week, I'll see. I still go visit Mum every second day. She has lost a lot of weight, but is now eating better.
Love to all those who have been worried about me. Love Chris
Mum is a miracle, the 2 nurses who are Mum's favourite girls always make her up for me. I'm taking Mum out today (Monday) to take her for some more shoe shopping!
Thanks for your lovely comments. Love Chris
I love babysitting the four-legged children. "G"
Your Mum looks really good, and your sister is so like you. Good to see you looking so happy and well.
Mum is doing well, we can't believe the transformation after her 2 seizures. Annette, one of Mum's favourite nurses said she thought she'd lost her when she had the first seizure (in the Dining room of all places!) She calls her her 'miracle' woman. Mum follows her around everywhere and Annette loves her. Thanks for the comment about Jewls, I always think Jewls looks like Mum more and I look like my Dad! Love Chris
Our Bishop visited and I said the Prayers of the People and everyone loved them. It was our 4th Sunday in the Season of Creation and of course I included all the things beloved in our country, flora and fauna included, plus prayers for the world, community, church, people and those who have gone before us. Love Chris
I took her out on Monday to buy 2 more pairs of shoes, ones that are easy to put on. I have taken all her old shoes and given them to one of our local charities. Love Chris
