Hi Cuties! Someone in my sewing group passed these small panel squares, with the Flag to me a good while ago. I figured it was time to make a quilt with them. One square was already cut off, so the panel had the large flag and 8 little printed squares. I don’t know what the panel was called, but with the apples in the basket and other pieces, reminded me of a country fair, which then I thought of Hole in the Barn door to frame the squares and the alternate fabric. See how my mind runs-lol Anyway, I figured to get my normal, at least 60x80, QOV size. However when it came to cutting my borders I couldn’t cut them as wide as I had planned, using leftovers, so I’m a little short at 79.5. I don’t think the veteran will notice-lol Width is good at 65. With the printed brown fabric I used and lying on my floor, I told hubby, it really does look like a hole in the barn door-lol

I still have a ‘head’ for good figures even though the ‘body’ has no good figure-lol- to put this altogether. Wishing you all a great day! Toogie

Toogie this is another beautiful quilt that yet once again you have created from fabric from someone else. I admire your creativity and the speed of your creativity

Thanks, I needed to make it up but it don’t wow me like some I’ve done. Maybe when it’s quilted, we will see.

Thank you mops, have you tried my direction of quilting yet? I would love to see any of your quilts. I am always interested in your work.

No, as I've been with my daughter. We did sew a lot and tried out the embroidery unit - and (of course) I had to make quite a few embroidery designs for her. And I am halfway through knitting a colour work jumper (by a Norwegian designer).
Flying back next Thursday, stay a couple of days at my son's for the birthday party of a granddaughter and the garden will be a small wilderness when I get home on Sunday.
