Hi Cuties! Just some 5 point stars in a QOV.
These patchwork blocks started out to go around a panel. I didn’t like them so I didn’t want to waste them so I thought of alternating the patchwork with embroidered stars on a background square. Not the prettiest quilt I’ve made but at least it’s not wasted. Size is 65x85 inches. Second picture was an audition around the panel, I did not like.

Toogie - I really do like what you did with your squares. Good luck with the panel. I am sure you will do something fantastic with it.

Your top looks beautiful in its simplicity, as far as making a quilt could ever be simple. I love the colours you used.
I bet you'll soon figure out how to use the panel.
Love, Martine

Well done Toogie, it is stunning as are all your QOV quilts.
I'm in the middle of cutting out a colourwash heart shaped lap quilt for Mum's 90th in January. Stinking hot here today, so the air conditioner is working well. Love Chris

I get so hot quilting even with the AC on. I guess bc I’m half way wrapped in it to quilt-lol
I want to see ‘Mum’s’ quilt when you’re finished. My 95 year old brother in law went into a nursing home a couple months ago. He was getting dementia and couldn’t live alone anymore, but is adjusting well now.

I have a couple i need to start but just can't get in the mood for quilts

I understand exactly how you feel, when you need to be in the mood. Sometimes I have to make myself finish bus trip gifts, for my niece. I’m not always in the mood to make something I have made over and over.

I love your process, Toogie, of layout, audition. I love each of your quilts--you are the quilt master! Oh, I know all about mood and sewing or embroidery. I am hoping to get back to anything soon.

Thank you, hope you’re feeling better soon. I finally got Sharon’s pattern right and ran out of fabric- check it out in Community/Sewing.
