LATEST UPDATE*** Hubby took a relapse last Saturday and he has been flipping in an out of AFIB. I contacted the cardiologist, and he advised me that this could happen until the heart heals. We have a follow up appointment with him on Wednesday. And I hope we can get some positive feedback.
Much like Jerry - being a care giver and support is a full-time job.
Update" these past 8 days have been terrible. The Orlando hospital has been great, and the nursing staff so understanding. Hubby's cardiologist is one of the best in the area, and he was scheduled to leave last night for a conference. He fit my husband in and he had his procedure done, and right now, his heart is back in sinus rhythm, and he is no longer in AFIB. He did have another surprise handed to him and learned that he is stage 3 kidney disease. So now, another specialist to see. They have changed his medications, and stabilized and we got home this afternoon. He is not to lift anything, nor to do anything for the next 7 days. We have follow-ups with both of the specialists in 2 weeks.

My daughter has been great. She is in the health care field and understands all the terminology that they hand to you. I also have a granddaughter-in-law that is a nurse practitioner and the two of them were comparing notes and conversations regarding his treatment. We are about an hour away from the hospital that he was transported to and she has gone back and forth each day to be with me, and to be with him also. She took the time off work, and her staff were very considerate of what the family was going through and told her not to worry about coming in that they would handle it.

But we are now home, and he is trying to catch up on some of his emails. He is not allowed to pick anything up or do anything strenuous for 7 days. This is to prevent busting open the areas where they went into his femoral arteries. Keeping him from doing that will be a pain for me.

Thank all of you for prayers, and thoughts.

I am needing the prayer warriors at Cute for assistance once again. I have been in hospital with my hubby since Tuesday evening. He is schedule for a procedure to his heart, hopefully on Tuesday. He was so bad that I took him to the local hospital, and he was transported to a hospital in Orlando on Friday. He had an episode at home that was probably the worse one that he has ever had, and he was passing out. He refused for me to get ambulance, so I took him to the local hospital. He was admitted there, and tests run that showed he had elevated heart enzymes, and going into kidney failure. His heart rate highly elevated, and heart erratic. His cardiologist does his surgery at the hospital that he was transported to, and they are fitting him into the scheduling. Please pray for him and our family. We are all shaken up about this, but he has showed a remarkable improvement since his cardiologist took over his care. I had only slept 3 hours out of 48 and told him on Thursday that I really needed to go home to sleep, or I would not be any good for him at all. We have one little great-granddaughter that is only 6 has asked every day to go see her PopPop.

I came home this afternoon so that I can get things done here so that I can be at the hospital for the next few days again.

Thank you all for thinking about us in your prayers...and letting me ramble here.

Hugs to you all.

P.S. Do try and get some rest, you won't be good to anyone if you don't look after yourself as well.
