I made my adult son's Jedi costume for Halloween this year. Unfortunately, he was hit by a car while on his bicycle and broke his ankle. He had to have surgery and won't make it to school for Halloween (he is a teacher). He said he will wear it to pass candy out at home and of course there is always next year. But really he wanted it for Disneyland, he had tickets to the Oogie Boogie Bash but had the accident 1 week before and had to cancel. I made a gusset for the pants that closes by Velcro to get over the cast/boot. I can easily remove it and stitch the leg back up when he is healed.
I've made so many costumes for my 4 kids! I'm trying to remember the ones for this son: convict (as a baby and my husband and I matched), muscle man (matching with dad), blue crayon (brother was purple crayon that I shortened because he had a broken leg that year), power ranger (matching with brother and they insisted I make a pink one for their baby sister), Pikachu, Squirtle, Pillsbury Dough Boy (he won middle school costume), Harry Potter robe (as an adult). I'm sure there are more....
I love doing it!
