A purchased sweatshirt for a sewing club project I started this past year I don't remember if I started it this yr as health problems interrupted all this year but I did finish it lately in one of my feel good times. The flower motif has a black background and after applying Heat & Bond Lite I did thread sketching with PolySparkle threads. The shine shows close up. I used a batik print to make cuffs and bottom band with a little tie at one side--cut the middle of the stitched V in the front. I wished I had tapered in the sweatshirt bottom but oh well, it will be loose. The largest floral motif is center back.

Jiminey Crickets-I said you could see the sparkle of the PolySparkle thread when you enlarged it....I just did and nope I couldn't see it, sorry, just believe me, it does add some sparkle. The metallic thread is twisted with the poly. I used Gunold's PolySparkle.

Thank you Toogie. I've done this technique before but a long long time ago. Others in my group used fabric paints but I feel that gets stiff and brittle or at least way back when mine did when I did it that way instead--maybe paints or glitter glues have gotten better though.

I should wear it since we are going into winter but I want to enter it in our county fair next July so that wearing it will have to wait. But, importantly, that project is done.
