This is my embroidery of the stained glass panel of the East Window in our church; I've made it to decorate a book cover for our Curate who is leaving to take up a new parish. The window shows Saints Andrew (left) and Peter (right) with Jesus as the Good Shepherd in the middle. The window is believed to be 13th century (the church is 15th century but the coloured panel is smaller than the window aperture and is surrounded by plain glass, which indicates that it's from an earlier church with smaller windows!) and the colours really are still as vibrant as I've shown them and look amazing when the morning sun shines through them! I had to make it in three separate panels then stitch them together, as to fit them all in my hoop in one go would have made them too small for any detail at all. Love
