Sad News to report tonight.
Basketkase - Vicki passed into a better life with God in Heaven. She had a difficult last 31 days. She fought it all the way but tonight at around 9:30PM Central Time, Vicki lost the fight. She coded but they were able to bring her back. In a weakened state, they attempted to keep her alive until I was able to get back to the hospital. I was about 2 minutes too late but I can tell you I feel like her spirit is with me. I could feel her with me in the car for the hour long ride back home. She will be with me until the day I die. She was VERY Loved and left a mark on this earth. Now she is with our heavenly Father, I know she is. I want to Thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes. Prayers were answered because she no longer has to struggle to maintain her life in an earthly body. What an amazing woman she was. Jim

Jim, I am so sad for you and for all who loved this beautiful woman. A sad ending to a great life. Know that she was much loved here as well. Vicki endowed everything and everyone she touched with love. I am certain you are included in this, though I've never met you in person, but also lesser things such as her digitizing, her care of the cats, and the home that the two of you hand-crafted over these many months. I heard this news from another Cutie as I can't log on too often due to cancer myself and treatments. I am so sorry for you Jim, life gets so hard to handle sometimes but God is with us everyday and we rejoice that as a Christian we know we are going to a better place, a home in Heaven. If we could get everyone to believe it would be so wonderful. Thankfully my son and his family are still believer's while my daughter's family and adult kids are leaning more left and liberal. I have a very long prayer list but I do pray for them all. You are one of them. Stay strong, honor any of her last wishes with pride that you're wife was so loved my many. Peafarm p.s. I just read this to my husband. He has so many things wrong in every part of his body and finally got worried enough about his stomach, colon so he has an appt with a gastro Dr. now. He also has a follow up with his heart Dr. and afraid of needing another stent or open heart. He is very scared of test due to extreme claustrophobia but I hope him being scared will override this now. He gets pains under his arms too but calls them his 'ghost pains' they come and go. Again, may God travel within you in your time of need.

Jim I am sooo so sorry. My heart is weeping with yours. Vicki was so much more than another Cutie to me. She and I shared not only our love for sewing and embroidery... and CATS, but our love for people and our values. She loved everyone, she showed compassion for all living things. She loved cats as much as I did, and always was concerned for mine and shared yours with me. I am heartbroken. Yet, I share with you that you can feel her presence. After our son Ben passed away, Vicki was one of the people who truly understood that our son's life would live on in Heaven. She shared her faith with me. I know she is singing with the angels.
