Thank you Cutes for your Christmas wishes. We were just by ourselves which is always a bit lonely having been used to so many busy Christmases in the past.
We did however book in one of our hotels for lunch. It was good to be surrounded by other people and the lunch was delicious. After lunch we went and sat by the lake on the property. It was a good day.

Hi Sarah. Glad you had a good day. The lake is lovely. I live beside a small pond and I find the water and the wind action and sunrise and sunset reflecting in the water so peaceful and full of wonder. It rains over the pond before it rains over the land, so if I hustle I can get into the house before I get wet.

What a beautiful location to have Christmas lunch. Things certainly do change as we age, I’m learning that lesson too. I admit I miss those times, but I admit, I loved having a few peaceful hours before we went to lunch with friends.

Beautiful setting! We aren't home so we didn't get to spend Christmas with our kiddos. But, we did celebrate with my father-in-law who just turned 94. Not certain how many more Christmas's we'll have with him so we decided to celebrate with him and my hubby's brother and family. It was fun - but, oh we did miss our kids. It is always hard when our holidays are a bit different!! Hugs to you!! Laura
