We’re back from our holidays. Had a great time with all the family at a beachside place an hour away up the coast from Newcastle called Hawks Nest.
Came back and started sewing a new bag for me! It’s Navy. I’ve done the front and back section, plus 1 side section just 3 more sections to go, then lining straps etc. love Chris
P.S. Mum is doing OK, constantly chatting but we’ve no idea what she’s talking about. She will be 90 on 29th January.

Hi Caroline, thanks, yes the break was great. I'm so glad that we got to have a great Christmas with Mum and the family, she doesn't remember it by the way!!!! Looking forward to giving her my little heart lap quilt for her 90th. Love Chris

Hi Karen, thanks yes we all needed it. I'm looking forward to getting it done too. Yes, I'm going fine and am off to have an Angiogram next Monday (52nd wedding anniversary), but hey, it's only an overnight stay. Then

Would this be some scraps left from your blue quilt? I look forward to seeing the finish. Your other bags from Sweetpea have always looked great. I hope the family time away restored your energy and gave you rest but I had to laugh at ‘ a bit noisy’. I think you and Trevor are like us. We are so used to the quiet sometimes all the noisy chatter and play can get a bit much, when it’s been so quiet. I can relate for sure, but like you we love the time with family.

Ha ha ha, this made me laugh too Toogie. No these are fabrics from tablecloths I made for Mia and myself. The lining is just navy blue cotton. I've gone out this morning and bought some navy blue webbing to do the handles as I didn't like the handles I made. Never mind, it is still a great bag. Love Chris

That bag is going to be exceptional when you are finished. I love the fabric and all the embroidered stitches within. Can't wait to see the finished product. I always said blue was my favorite color, any hue of blue also. Happy for you to have time off visiting with family and at such a lovely place also. I am no cold weather person and here I am with snow on the ground and we've had single digit degrees. UGH!! Ready for Spring, getting well and being able to possibly dig in the dirt some.

Hi Patti, I'm sitting in my back room just about to put new handles on my bag - perspiration is dripping down my face and neck - it's over 32C outside and my air conditioner (Trev put it on for me when I went out this morning) is keeping the area cool, I'm just still trying to cool down.\
