Today I lost a niece to cancer, and learned yesterday that her brother, my oldest nephew, has a cancer that has spread. I grew up with the kids, as they were 8 and 9-1/2 years younger than me. Hollie had breast cancer years ago, and last year we found that she had lung cancer that spread to her brain. She fought a hard fight, but she went peacefully. I am just so glad that she was able to have her special "Gramma's Christmas" with her girls and grandkids.
This is the 3rd niece/nephews that we have lost since August.

My, that is a lot of loss and grief and time spent reflecting. Hug on to each other and remember to try to continue celebrating with times together. You are in my prayers.

I am so sorry for your losses and also about her brother. It has to be so hard for all of you. We have had too many in our family too with this horrible disease. Thinking of you and your family during this time of grief.
