Gift for someone living away from her home state, to match her quilt I made earlier.

The word home is the only thing machine embroidered. The state was too large for my embroidery machine.
The state I stitched with a small zigzag on my regular sewing machine and then came around again with a close satin stitch, before quilting the stipple, adding the zipper and making the pillow cover. I also made the 18inch pillow form to insert. I didn’t like to do this but as I was using leftover from her quilt, I had to piece a strip at the bottom of the houndstooth back.
