My grand daughter-in-law became an Aunt, for the first time, right about the time I got sick. She asked for this Taggie for her new niece. I just made it and sent her the photo. She said she loved it & thank you. I usually make the reverse side of a cotton or chenille fabric but she wanted both sides out of this Minky. My ribbons are mostly pastels so reminds me of Easter. I have satin, grosgrain, sheers and even velvet so she should have lots of textures to feel.

Nora sure loved her first one until it was lost. Cried like the toddler she was. Made a second one but just wasn’t the same, even though they were close in appearance.

Thanks. The last couple days I have felt like my old self. I cut out a camp quilt today and made all the blocks. I have the first two rows of blocks sewn together but I have nine more to do tomorrow. The organization needs them finished by June.

I had totally forgot about this project---Love it and the memory recall. I need to make one for my Ggrandson 2 1/2 months old now. I have scraps of the Minkie left and ribbons so why not. Now I am feeling lots better and healing everyday. Sure glad you are getting back to self.

O' WOW! What a wonderful idea. I like your idea of different back side so again another texture. Wonderful job.

Hopefully this is the only one I have to make for now. They know I usually have supplies so they don’t mind asking. I had some beautiful buttered yellow, brown, orange, white and pink. I showed her all of them thinking she would choose one and I could make the opposite side out of anything I had to match, other than another Minky. However, this is what she chose.

This looks gorgeous Toogie, I love all the beautiful coloured ribbons around the sides and Minky is such a tactile fabric. Love Chris

How did you stabilize the minky in order to do the machine embroidery?
TIA

Just hooped it with a tear away stabilizer. I used water soluble stabilizer on top.
