Hello Cuties! Foster kids camp quilt #2- this was a tutorial I found and had to try. The stars were the only thing I embroidered using my embroidery machine. The ball I padded with a layer of batting. I used a small plate to draw a circle and stitched the ball ‘laces’ with one of my utility stitches on my machine. The words were made using Heat & Bond, then satin stitched, with my regular machine. It took me most of a morning just to stitch around the letters. The size is 60 x 76. I hope to make some little guy happy! Have a great day- Toogie

You're right---a child that gets this will be so happy. Great way to use up all those scraps too. This is way way cute.

These were all cut from fat quarters or yardage but it could be made with scraps for sure. I thought it was a cute pattern too. Thanks

Kudos to you for making a foster child a very happy camper. I wish you could get to see the happy faces of the children as they realize their quilts will actually be theirs.

I just finished quilting and sewing the binding on. I didn’t stitch over any of the applique and the ball looks raised or maybe 3D. The back is gray but circles throughout.

Fantastic job, Toogie.
We have a granddaughter who is a foster mom.... but she will soon be adopting twin boys that she has had in foster care for nearly 2 years. She has already adopted sisters last year. That leaves her one boy, but he is not up for adoption at this time. Between her own kids, the adopted kids, and the current 3 foster kids, she has 9 kids there, and the oldest is 10. I don't know how she does it. LOL
