Hi Cuties! I needed to make a Marine veteran a quilt. Well actually, I have two marines at the moment. Anyway, I wanted to use these marine fabrics and came up with this, after seeing a top that inspired me. It will go to Lynn Thursday, at our group meeting, for quilting before coming back to me to finish. It measures 61x84. Now to think of a design for the other marine…..

Thank you , I have actually started another for an Air Force veteran, but I ran out of Navy blue fabric, before I got it the size I needed. I’m hoping we have more if not, I’ll have to think of something else to finish it.

Beautiful! Where do you find the great panels? Hugs. Nan

Nan we get the panels online, at different places. Just Google, like my kids tell me-lol Thanks, I know this one isn’t as inspiring as some but I do like the panel and I needed to use the Marine fabrics. My husband said it needed some red so I played around with the fabrics and size until I decided to cut the white strip smaller at 1.5 and the red and blue at 2.5. I am thinking of binding in red to give it more pop.

I love this one, too, Toogie...You find the most appropriate panels for these quilts...

Actually, Sharon gets all the credit for ordering , but if we see something we like, she will order it. She has asked me for my opinion about fabrics though and what I want to put it altogether. Thanks, this is the first Mount Rushmore panel I’ve worked with. I did like the brownish and off white Marine fabrics, with the colors in the panel.
