Hi Cuties! Today is my sewing group ‘Bobbins’ meeting. I just finished this one and am taking it and the unpopular Mount Rushmore Marine quilt, with me to give to Lynn for quilting. It came out a little bigger than I usually make for veterans , at 68x86 inches. No pattern but it’s about a 36 in carpenter Star before framing and all my squares were cut at 5 inches. I was unsure to use the gold fabric, but after Scheila & Sharon both agreed & Scheila said, ‘ Go for the gold’, I kept it.- lol ( showing a picture without the gold fabric too.) I thought I liked it without the gold but since keeping it in and finishing, I think I like it. It will go to a Marine veteran, since two of the fabrics are marine prints.
Have a nice day! I’m keeping you all in prayer-❤️Toogie
I started cutting this out at 4:30 Tuesday afternoon. I sewed till bedtime ( midnight for us-lol) stopping to eat and clean up kitchen. Got up about 8 am and sewed all day, till midnight when I finished it yesterday , Wednesday. I wanted to bring it to the quilter today, Thursday, so I needed to get it done!
