UPDATED SUNDAY 11.00AM Hi gals, I've been busy with Mum, kids, Op Shop etc. In the time I find free I'm making some little purses.
These are from Sweetpea Embroidery designs and take a while to do, but are very effective. I've made one in Purples and this one is in black, white, silver, grey and taupe. I have a bit to do yet as there are 7 sections to sew out.
I hope everyone is doing ok and enjoying life. We are having a great time enjoying our electric bikes, walking and doing gym each week.
Mum is still going, 90 and a half years old, constantly talking, but conversation is difficult as I have no idea most of the time what she is talking about. Dementia is known as the long goodbye and it's certainly what I am experiencing. I come away each time I see her with a heavy heart, but I know she is getting 24/7 care and that is something that I'm eternally grateful for.
The nurses who care for her are absolute Angels, and I am so grateful for their love and care for her. Everyone loves Mum and she keeps them entertained.
She is finally sleeping better and in her own bed after 4 weeks of her not sleeping in her room but in the main Television room. I make sure she is always dressed beautifully and has her hair done.
Thanks for those who have written to me to check on me. Love Chris
1. The purple purse 6x10 (which I found to be too small for what I wanted)
2. The new 7x11 black and white one, still got more to finish
3. The bird section of the black purse
4. Mum and I at Mother's Day luncheon at our home
5. Amy, Mum, Me, Dana and at the back Mia (our son's partner Mia) Steve, Amy's husband was making us all laugh and Mum was just in hysterics!!!!
6. This is 2 sections of the same design. I can't believe I made the wrong size earlier this week and only realised it when I was putting them next to each other. So today I've sewn out the correct size which is the top one 7x11! I felt so stupid!!
7. The lining of the purse.
8. THE FINISHED PURSE!!
The purses are really beautiful. Looks like lots of work but well worth the time. Great photos. Hugs. ππ
So today I've sewn out the correct size in between visits from Amy and Ophelie and cooking soup and going to the gym. Anyway I've got a new section finished! Hooray.
Amy and Ophelie went to see Mum and of course she didn't recognise Ophelie! Amy said she had tears in her eyes when she was saying goodbye to Mum. It's so sad! Love Chris
And the purses , they are gorgeous. great job thgank you for sharing the pictures, hugs/love Gerry
