UPDATED 24th July 2024
Hi gals, it’s school holidays here this and next week. We’ve been busy with grands, helping Ben with getting his son Cooper (14) to and from McDonald’s (which is an hour and a half turn around from where Ben and Mia now live). When Cooper is with his Mum McDonald’s is only a 10 minute bus ride!!!
Anyway in between me being with Mum every other day at the moment, I’ve begun sewing another Sweetpea bag. This one in purple fabrics. I’m hoping to finish it over the weekend. Here are the front and back central panels. If you look on my Projects pages it’s like my black one and there’s a blu and a red one too.
Hope you are all well and not dying of heat. It’s cold down here which is unusual for Newcastle as we are on the East coast where it’s normally warm. Love Chris
1. Will be the front because I love the bright purple and blue floral fabric.
2. Will be the back section.
3. Finished front
4. Finished back
I've had lots of comments about how beautiful this bag is. I'm very chuffed with it. Love Chris
Keep well, my friend. Loved seeing your post about sewing with that young girl. Love Chris
I've used the 16 inches x 8 3/4 inches (internal area). Love Chris
Can't wait to see if finished. Perhaps you will even take a pict of all together. You are so amazingly creative.
Thanks for posting pictures. Zoe
I have never bought any of Sweet Pea designs. They look so complicated to make, and I have not done much in the way of applique.
Recently I was given Table Runner and a bag pattern for a thank you gift. So, my question is are they easy to sew, have checked out the instructions in both, they seem to be very precise. As they were a gift, I will have to make both of them, so any info. on how to go about sewing them would be very much appreciated.
I'm away from home at the moment, down in South Australia (my hometown) visiting friends and family. We will be home tomorrow (Monday afternoon). Love Chris
