The center of the blanket there will be a cross that is 3.7"h x 2.8"w to the side of the cross I want to write his name which is Roman and under his name the baptismal date of 8/17/08. I could send you the cross I am using and you could tell me how it looks together.?

Hi, Charlene, and welcome to Cute Embroidery Family, affectionately known as "Cuties", hee hee hee. Hope we can be of help to you. Designs by SiCK.com has a bunch of fonts, I'm not sure if any would do for you, and you have to go thru page by page, unless they're in the search function, I'm not sure. But SiCK is having a sale, $2.00 per set, so if you can find one it would be a fantastic bargain. Good Luck to you. Marji

I was on designs by sick last nite and didn't see anything that really grabbed me except the Kingdom font and it doesn't have lower case letters. I think all caps would be too hard to work with a 4x4 hoop and keep centered on the blanket. I need something that hopefully will run out as a whole word so I don't make it uneven.

Welcome Charlie This is a great place to be as a beginner because these ladies are very creative, helpful, caring and knowledgable. As far as fonts I use one in 3D embroidery called Adina alot. Also the gold font and the christmas font here at cute embroidery stitch out really nice. They are both easy to read when stitched out. Hope this helps and again welcome to the community of cute.

Welcome, misscharlie. This is what my software could do, it's made with a few of the in-built fonts of my 3D software. I would gladly make a couple of words or sentences if you would like that.

Could you post it in Calligraph so I can see it? I don't know how to post a picture of the cross otherwise I would so you could see it too.

What a warm welcome tyvm everyone! I'm hoping I can make this blanket. I wish I already had the larger hoop! lol So far in the center of the blanket there will be a cross that is 3.7"h x 2.8"w to the side of the cross I want to write his name which is Roman and under his name the baptismal date of 8/17/08. I have tested out the cross several times now I have to get the font chosen. I am stitching it out with dark silver thread 40wt I bought from radiant threads.

Charlene, WELCOME to the 'CUTE' family - I do see that you have a couple really good answers here - what sort of machine and software program do you have? Maybe knowing that we could assist you in learning how to use something that you all ready have, but have not used yet. But if you are ready to stitch this out and just need the help - a couple of the family have offered to help you out, as well. Good luck and we would love to see your finished project. It sounds wonderful - as for loading a picture - here - in this area - just click on the answer the question - upload image - then find the image on your pc - and upload it - click submit - in the project area - it is a bit different - but somewhat the same - you have to have a title, description and also a tag - but you still upload the photo and save - good luck and we can't wait to view your pretty baptismal blanket.

Here is it in Calligraph. Could do it in 2 different designs, or as here combined into one. Don't know what format you use.

Does your machine have different fonts built in? And do you fave software so you can send a total design ( you made) to your machine. You must have the ability to download designs from the net or you wouldn't be addicted like the rest of us. Welcome, we like new cuties. Also check out web site I post for you. These are not expensive. Listed under Fonts and alphabets. Good luck.

Yes it is a Brother SE350 it has fonts built in. Not sure how to layer it the way I want working with the built in fonts instead of working with it already put together on the memory card. I have Ped Basic and a Vikant 4mb rewritable memory card. I already know that I have to have the cross and the lettering seperate because of my 4x4 hoop. I Dl'ed a trial digitizing software (Wilcom) YIKES way over my head!!! Everyone has been so warm and inviting and terrifically helpfull. I appreciate it so much.
