I was wondering if Veronika could add a feature to our profile to receive e-mails? I don't know just asking ;)

I would think that might infringe on the guarantee not to give out personal information, because then just anyone dropping in could develope a database from them and we would wind up with more spam or worse. You can certainly put it in your profile if you wanted to. There are spam bots that can go in and pick those out though, so that is a personal call. ;)

For ex...suppose I want to e-mail you instead of asking you online...there would be a button in your profile that I would press only if you wanted to recceive e-mails...I would never know your e-mail unless you answer me back and if you chose to be e-mailed...hope I am explaining it right ;) *2U

I would not want that, I think. I did put it in my profile to give someone the details, but took it out again after I had received that e-mail. I don't want it there permanently.

What I am talking about is that you would only get the e-mails if you select another option to receive them only. They would not know your e-mail unless you e-mail them ;)

We can always put our e-mails addresses in our profile.I agree with jrob.There really is no need for such a feature.

That worked for a while and then some of us got unwanted e-mails...the suggested way would be controled e-mail services ;) *2U

It doesn't have to be your personal email, it can be as at LOTS and SewForum that you receive PM or PrivateMail. It will be fun. I think it is a good idea. Did you suggest it to Veronika? Flower and XoXo

Ricky, that sound very interesting - have you submitted it to Veronika via email? I like the idea - that you could select the option to receive the email or reject it and that it would be protected - have you seen this feature work on another site or forum?
