I bought this applique at swak embroidery to put on a little sun dress for my daughter and had the idea of putting clear plastic over embroidery before the final stich to make it look like a real fish bowl..It turned out kinda neat...

Very clever idea! One up on your idea, perhaps you could put some seed bead 'pearls', or some star shape sequins or sea life buttons in there, so they'd move around? Eye catching, and the child would get a kick out of everybody noticing her dress even more than I bet they do now. Your daughter must be proud to say, "Mommy made me this!" Well done. Marji
