this is the first quilt that I managed to finish, actually the second started but the first was too big to quilt without previous experience so I made this to practice quilting on. I embellished it with small ribbon bows in two tones of blue and different buttons since its actually for myself and not for any child. I think it ended up quite well so in the coming weeks I'll try to tackle my big (double bed size) quilt too.

thanks Ann. yes its all bluework, well designs were originally redwork but I prefer blue. they are two sets of designs I had bought from secretsofembroidery.com I think they were called romantic sunbonnets or sunbonnets in love. *

Congratulations on a beautiful quilt. Finishing things was one reason I started doing baby quilts. Smaller, and easier to machine quilt. *4all

Wow! Super job on first try....looks fantastic to me. I'm going to see if I can find a link to the method I use to machine quilt. It works quite nicely and is called "Fluff and Stuff". I'll post in community if I can find it....it's been a few years.;)

It is lovely Anna. I like the way you matched the simplicity of the quilt pattern with the naivity of the embroidery designs. I am about to start quilting my first machine quilted quilt too, so I will be watching for jrob's post with hints. I started one 21 years ago but got stuck at the quilting stage (like you I started with a queen size, a big mistake) so I might even finish that one if the smaller one works out.

very good job. My first quilt was a queen and came out pretty good. Everyone said it was great. I quilted it on the sewing machine. I had never quilted before. My friend said you can do it. I did do a samll pillow to see if I could cut straight. If I can find a picture I will post it. I gave it to my daughter. The name of it was Card Trick and was fun to make. Flower for yours it is lovely and like the way you put it together.
