Because I'm sitting in the attic in front of my PC and the kitchen is2 floor downstairs
and reading and chatting was a liitle bit more interesting than cooking..

Get a fire alarm and place it close to the stove so that your family can tell when dinner is ready. Then you won't have to be bothered.
