you have made a beautiful heirloom that will be handed down generation to genration hopefully. did you handstitch all of the embroidery? since you do heirloom sewing do you smock as well? i really love to smock and try to do it whenever i can. it is addictive! the baby dress is really beautiful. you did a good job and i know you put a lot of work into it...and it shows!

Thanks, no I do not, I have problems with my hands since I had work so hard all my life and the the medicine that I take, a hormone blocker because of breast cancer,causes painful joints, this little dress was made for a friend as a gift and she never came to pick it up.
then i would definitely say it is your friend's loss to miss out such a lovely dress. it reminds me of the vintage gowns you see in baby portraits. all it needs is a bonnett! i'm sorry you have problems with your joints but i bet maybe a little sewing helps to work out some of the stiffness. cancer is an awful thing to go through. i got your email and i would love to see pictures of the dress for your GD when it is finished! i'm sure it will be beautiful.
